LinkedGeoData is an effort to add a spatial dimension to the Web of Data / Semantic Web. LinkedGeoData uses the information collected by the OpenStreetMap project and makes it available as an RDF knowledge base according to the Linked Data principles. It interlinks this data with other knowledge bases in the Linking Open Data initiative.
Un projet du NYPL Lab. C'est un outil de recherche (de découverte) qui permet de croiser les auteurs présents dans le Projet Guntenberg avec les données de DBpedia. Permet des recherches du type "tous les auteurs nobélisés".
Dépôt github du projet Protégé, outil de gestion d'ontologies. Passer par là permet d'éviter de devoir s'enregistrer sur le site de protege.stanford.edu...
"This primer provides an introduction to the Linked Data Platform (LDP), with examples illustrating the principal concepts such as the notion of an LDP resource and the LDP container and how they can be used by Web clients. Two sample scenarios show how an LDP client can interact with a LDP server in the context of a read-write Linked Data application i.e. how to use HTTP for accessing, updating, creating and deleting resources from servers that expose their resources as Linked Data."

La question revient à mesurer la pertinence des projets Web sémantique / Linked data. Il n'est pas démontré que ce soit le meilleur format pour la mise à disposition des données, d'autant que d'un point de vue commercial, les enjeux du profits sont un frein à la diffusion des données (pas à leur utilisation, toutefois).
